The book has a lot of clear and concise detail on not only the 'how' but the 'why' things are done the way they are. If you interested in building a customized distro, this is a great resource even if this addition is a bit dated.

My all-time favorite Linux LiveCD is Knoppix, made in Germany. While I never did get the time to make my own live CD, it was a pleasure to read through this book, and gain an appreciation of all the work that goes into making one.

It was a very good book. It gives you the knowledge needed to build you own Live CD's which is what I wanted.
